The Green Party stands out amongst all the parties for their concern about climate change, women’s rights, equality and fairness in our court systems, allegiance to our Constitution and avoiding war. The Green Party seeks solutions to all of our challenges based on a full research of the facts and the implications of any action. The Green party respects our Constitution especially when it comes to the UN charter and NATO. This would have kept us out of the Iraq war which was clearly based on false premises perpetrated by many of our leaders and our news media and was not approved by the UN Security Council.

More than ever people are sick of our two-party system. Many only vote for independents. Our Congress would be on the way toward really representing the people if many more independents were elected. Something that would help this come about is ranked choice voting. Ranked-choice voting (RCV) - Ballotpedia. This is good for the independent candidates as well as the primary parties as votes won't be splintered in many directions. Both Maine and Alaska have implemented this. In Michigan there were 8 candidates for US Senate. The winner, Elissa Slotkin (D) won over Republican Mike Rogers by 20,000 votes. Independent party votes amounted to 200,000 votes. Way more to change the outcome. Winning candidates should get over 50% of the votes.

Have no time in our history are we faced with so many problems that are oftentimes solely based on the lack of information that people have. Climate change is a very serious issue which will soon be impacting our farmers’ profitability. The Middle East situation is constantly being misreported and because of so we are part of the problem instead of part of the solution. Our medical system is flawed because it is a profit-making system primarily and not a health solutions system. Electing me will put us on a different path for these items.
