Ever since Al Gore brought up the subject over 26 years ago of how climate was doomed to change I have been studying it. You can count on my leadership that will do its best to comfortably reduce or mitigate the effects of climate change by supporting alternative energy sources. I certainly will support solar, wind and even nuclear power improvements that present as CO2 alternative to our future.
I am afraid though that I am rather powerless to implement meaningful change as the American public would not stand for drastically higher gasoline prices. Nonetheless I will be a voice of the truth that our climate is changing the planet is getting warmer and we should be preparing ourselves for a much warmer planet. That means much higher ocean levels that means much more dramatic weather including dramatic rainfall and hurricanes and even earthquakes and volcanic eruptions.

I will say as a final word that if you live here in Michigan you are lucky as we are not experiencing the extreme levels of climate change that many parts of the world already are feeling. The reason is because we frequently and usually get Arctic winds coming down to Michigan where parts of the world get Equatorial winds coming up from the middle of the planet. The winds are happening this way because what used to be the jet stream that went from West to east is now oscillating around the planet. It is literally a sine wave going around the planet and we get the polar air not the Equatorial air.
