Our current administration literally has turned allies into enemies as there are threats to take over Greenland Iceland Canada and attack Venezuela this is not the kind of leadership that takes America forward. We have to recognize our common links to other nations in the world the basic one being are they a democracy or a communist country or some kind of combination of the two but there's a dictator running things. A separate issue is nuclear weapons. A nation that is not a democracy literally should not have nuclear weapons. A nation that doesn't have our constitution or at least the important part of our constitution which is separation of church and state should not be considered to be an ally. This is one of the most important ingredients into stability of the nation. 

It ought to be remembered that in our constitution if we sign in international agreement it becomes the law of the land that means if the United nations Security Council doesn't approve of our desire to go to war against another nation we should abstain from doing that. That's what our constitution says and our constitution says only Congress can declare war. Attacking Iraq in 2003 was done in violation of our constitution and our commitment to the United nations. About the only consolation is that it was over within a couple of months and then we set about spending trillions to rebuild it. Wasted money. We have to honor the decisions of the United nations regarding the Middle East and there should be a 2 state solution I will discuss more of this in my Middle East section.
